About CampFinder

Independent developer, builds and runs CampFinder
CampFinder is a free tool that watches sold-out campgrounds and emails you when a night opens up. It is a solo project: one person builds it, runs the server, and answers the email.
Why it exists
Refreshing Recreation.gov for cancellations is a miserable way to spend a weekend. CampFinder does the refreshing instead. You tell it the campground, the dates, and the kind of site you want; it checks every 30 minutes, around the clock, and emails you when something you asked for becomes available.
What it covers
Campgrounds on Recreation.gov, the US state and county systems that run on the UseDirect platform, and the GoingToCamp systems (Washington State and many Canadian systems). The full, current list is on the coverage page.
What it is not
- Not affiliated with Recreation.gov, any park service, or any reservation system. CampFinder only reads their public availability pages.
- Not a booking bot. It never reserves anything for you; you book on the official site yourself. See the FAQ for why.
- Not a paid product. There is no subscription and no per-watch fee.
