About

North Higgins Lake State Park, located in the northern Lower Peninsula on the north shore of Higgins Lake, offers 449 acres of lakeside recreation and camping in a natural wooded atmosphere. The park is situated on the site of what was once one of the world's largest seedling nurseries and features a museum dedicated to telling the story of that nursery, forestry in Michigan, and the Civilian Conservation Corp's efforts in Michigan.

CampFinder checks Michigan State Parks every 30 minutes, around the clock, and emails you when a booked-up night opens back up. That catches most cancellations, which sit open for hours; at the few campgrounds that refill in seconds it can miss the race. Set up a free availability alert for North Higgins Lake State Park.
