About

Established in 1920, Hayes State Park covers approximately 654 acres. In a scenic setting, 185 modern campsites and two mini-cabins are nestled in wooded, rolling hills next to Round Lake (a no wake lake). Campers have access to Wamplers Lake, an all sports lake. Features include sand beaches, shaded picnic areas, boat launch, concession stand, canoe, rowboat, tube and paddle boat rentals, horseshoe pits, volleyball net and playground. The park is in the heart of the Irish Hills with close proximity to Michigan International Speedway, crafts and antique shows, and Hidden Lake Gardens. Metal detecting area.

Availability at Hayes State Park

CampFinder checks Michigan State Parks every 30 minutes, around the clock, and emails you when a booked-up night opens back up. That catches most cancellations, which sit open for hours; at the few campgrounds that refill in seconds it can miss the race. Set up a free availability alert for Hayes State Park.
