Located 7 km off Highway 1 just outside the Hamlet of Kakisa, Lady Evelyn Falls Campground is situated along the Kakisa River. The park offers 23 powered sites capable of accommodating a range of equipment types. Amenities include showers, a playground, hiking trails and picnic shelter (available for guest reservation). The Lady Evelyn Falls are only a short hike from the park. A staircase leads into the gorge at the base of the falls and the warm boulder-strewn river has many spots for wading and swimming. The fishing is excellent! Northern pike, pickerel/walleye and Arctic grayling can often be hooked by casting with small spoons into the pools at the base of the falls.
CampFinder checks Northwest Territories Parks every 30 minutes, around the clock, and emails you when a booked-up night opens back up. That catches most cancellations, which sit open for hours; at the few campgrounds that refill in seconds it can miss the race. Set up a free availability alert for Lady Evelyn Falls Territorial Park.
