Jàk Territorial Park

About

Jàk Territorial Park is located just outside the town of Inuvik. There are 10 powered and 26 non-powered sites, that can accommodate a range of equipment types. Amenities include a shower facility, playground and a kitchen shelter (available for guest reservation). Park visitors can access hiking trails and climb the observation tower for panoramic views of the park. Considered a prime bird watching location, guests may see falcons, eagles and ducks during their stay. The park is also known for an abundance of tasty local berries; the name “Jàk” comes from the Gwich’in word for berry.

Availability at Jàk Territorial Park

CampFinder checks Northwest Territories Parks every 30 minutes, around the clock, and emails you when a booked-up night opens back up. That catches most cancellations, which sit open for hours; at the few campgrounds that refill in seconds it can miss the race. Set up a free availability alert for Jàk Territorial Park.
