Fort Townsend State Park

About

Fort Townsend is a 414-acre marine camping park with 3,960 feet of saltwater shoreline on Port Townsend Bay. The forested park has a rich history in the armed forces, dating from pioneer days. Military buffs, walk the parade lawn and find interpretive plaques lining the former Officers’ Row. Explore a historic torpedo tower that held state-of-the-art technology during World War II (and is now part of the group campground).

Availability at Fort Townsend State Park

CampFinder checks Washington State Parks every 30 minutes, around the clock, and emails you when a booked-up night opens back up. That catches most cancellations, which sit open for hours; at the few campgrounds that refill in seconds it can miss the race. Set up a free availability alert for Fort Townsend State Park.
