Wolf Creek Campground

About

Situated in an old white spruce forest, along Wolf Creek, near Whitehorse, this campground and day-use area is popular with travellers and residents. The campground has a selection of campsites including RV and walk-in tenting sites. Two cook shelters are available and the day-use area offers two playgrounds, benches, picnic tables and fire pits for the whole family. The interpreted Tágà Shrō Trail begins at the campground and passes through the boreal forest to a scenic view of the Yukon River (Tágà Shäw / Chū Nii Kwän*). This section is wheelchair-accessible. The loop continues along Wolf Creek (Tsi Chua*), where Chinook Salmon spawn in late summer and early autumn. Visit the salmon fishway and interpretive site at the campground entrance. This is also a great place to spot forest birds. The shorter Dthèl Khíy Trail climbs to a sage and aspen-covered overlook of the valley.

Availability at Wolf Creek Campground

CampFinder checks Yukon Parks every 30 minutes, around the clock, and emails you when a booked-up night opens back up. That catches most cancellations, which sit open for hours; at the few campgrounds that refill in seconds it can miss the race. Set up a free availability alert for Wolf Creek Campground.
